pictures for big spaces

Big pictures have an authority about them that compels the viewer to stop and think. If you have ever been in a gallery where The Lily Pond by Monet is on display, you will remember the shock at the sheer size of the picture.

Big PictureFor public places, large spaces, etc, big pictures can make a statement that would be impossible with a small one, no matter how good. Put the Mona Lisa in the lobby of a large hotel or theatre and the effect only works when the viewer is able to get up close.

In the world of abstract digital art, big pictures are rare indeed. To create big pictures requires a computer with a fast processor and lots of memory and to have the picture printed out requires the use of extremely large printers that can print to materials that will not fade or discolour over time.

One such medium is the Giclee print. Established as the medium of choice for fine art and computer art, the Giclee process can be applied to many different materials and substrates. Its high resolution and integity of colour reproduction sets it apart from inferior processes.

Although it is an expensive way to print big pictures, nothing currently on the market can compete with its depth of colour and sharpness of detail.
